Welcome to the Gaia Neos blog. It has been quite a journey setting up this publishing venture. It's something I've always wanted to do, but never planned on it until the first non-fiction book I actually finished, Life Hacks, was rejected by many publishing companies and agents. Not as many rejections as J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter, but enough to make me look into setting up my own publishing company. I had already self-published two poetry books: Tree Poghams and Deep in the Heart of Nature, and I also had a third poetry collection pretty much ready, as well as a couple of other book projects I was working on, so it seemed a natural step to make it a business. But a business in keeping with the values of Gaia Neos, the New Earth.
It's exciting to be finally launching with six books in six weeks, from the summer solstice to the autumn equiniox. They are mostly my own books, which I have spent a decade working on, but I also have a couple of other exciting authors. I also have a wealth of ancestral writing to publish some of as I am from a long line of writers. For this I will start by combining my great, great grandfather Reginal Heber's unfinished epic poems about King Arthur. Also my mother, Stella Durand, who has had three books published by three different publishing companies, and I plan to make it four on the autumn equinox in time for her birthday.
It has been a long process to get to this point, but everything is finally ready to launch. Gaia Neos is being born. Now it is time for the New Earth. Join us on this journey of discovery. Discovery of life-changing books, discovery of transformational ideas, and ultimately discovery of ourselves.
